(A) Kaplan-Meier curves show the overall survival of HCC patients with E3 and non-E3 expression signatures. Patients with E3 expression signature exhibited a significantly better outcome compared to those with non-E3. Multivariable Cox regression analysis showed that the E3 expression signature was a prognostic factor independent of other clinicopathological and mutational parameters. (B) miR-21 was an independent prognostic marker for HCC and its low expression was associated with a better outcome.
