Two distinct preexposure effects revealed in animals who received exposure to W, N, and C for different numbers of sessions. A one-way ANOVA demonstrated a main effect of preexposure sessions (P < 0.05). Tukey–Kramer post hoc tests revealed that animals exposed to W, N, and C for 2 d developed a significantly weaker aversion than animals preexposed for one or three sessions (P < 0.05). Preexposure for two sessions did not produce aversions different from that of animals exposed to water alone (horizontal line of reference).
