Simvastatin inhibits TGF-β1-induced migration and invasion. (A) The effect of simvastatin on the TGF-β1-induced migration of DU145 cells was evaluated using would-healing assay. Values of relative distance between wound edges represent mean ± standard deviation of triplicate samples (**P<0.01). (B) The effect of simvastatin on the TGF-β1-induced invasion of DU145 cells was evaluated using a matrigel invasion assay. Migrated cells were stained with crystal violet and counted for quantitative analysis. Data shown are representative of 3 independent experiments (**P<0.01 vs. the TGF-β1 alone group).
