a) Principal components analysis of all 663 mycobacteriophage genomes. Individual clusters of phages are well separated by PC1 and PC2 in most cases. Further separation can be achieved by incorporating additional principal components. b) Principal components analysis of cluster B phages. Individual subclusters are well separated. The outlier in B4 is KayaCho, a phage with different tetranucleotide usage but similar genome architecture when compared with other B4 phages.
