In the asymptotic case of strong shielding (Eq. (54)), an exponential decay of concentration is seen according to size. From this solution, an overall consumption rate of FA protein can be computed by summing over the attachment rates Rnj, where Rnj refers to the rate of protein consumption by clusters of n bound proteins of size sj to sj+1.
