Note that several taxa previously assigned to this formation (e.g., the titanosaurian sauropods Aeolosaurus colhuehuapensis, Argyrosaurus superbus, and Elaltitan lilloi; the hadrosaurid ornithopod Secernosaurus koerneri) are now known to come from a recently defined, stratigraphically younger geologic unit, the Lago Colhué Huapi Formation [80].
