ATA mutation in hERG 1b prevents hERG protein synthesis. A Western blot depicts hERG protein from blank HEK293 cells or HEK cells transfected with either WT hERG 1b or the hERG 1b ATA mutant. The hERG protein was labeled using a C-terminal Ab. These data exclude initiation of translation downstream of the ATA mutation.
