A bar graph shows Nissl-stained cells per counting grid ± SEM in control (normally perfused) and ischemic hippocampus (CA1 and CA3) and cortex (neocortical layer 5) in TNFα-transgenic (TNFα-Tg) and non-transgenic (non-Tg) littermates subjected to middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO).
