Effect of LPS in young and aged mice on cardiac function. Cardiac function parameters left ventricular internal dimension (LVID, (a)) and ejection fraction (EF, (b)) were measured by echocardiography. LVID was significantly increased whereas EF was decreased in LPS treated mice. The difference of LPS induced cardiac dysfunction in aged mice was significantly higher than young ones.
