Vehicle, Diazepam, M. scandens water extract (MS WE) and M. scandens ethanolic extract (MS EE) were administered orally 60 minutes before the injection of PTZ (60 mg/kg, i.p); values are the mean ± S.E.M. for 8 rats per group.
P < 0.05 significantly different compared to vehicle treated group, Two-way ANOVA followed by Sidak test Diazepam completely protected the animals from seizures.
