(A) Comparison between polytene chromosomes of wild-type Oregon-R (left panel) and w, elav-GAL4[w+]/w; UAS-Cfdp1[w+]/+ (right panel) larvae stained with DAPI. Chromosome structure is highly disorganised in larvae expressing UAS-Cfdp1. Chromosome morphology was strongly affect in 231/350 (66%) figures scored were scored from three different replicates of the same cross.
