Protein-protein interaction between MutSα and ASF1A-H3-H4. The data were acquired using the coimmunoprecipitation assay (“Experimental Procedures”). Complexes containing protein A beads and the indicated proteins and antibodies were incubated with the purified MutSα (A, C, and E), ASF1A-H3-H4 (B), or ASF1A (D). After the incubation, the beads were extensively washed, and the bound material was eluted. The input and eluted fractions were analyzed by Western blots with α-MSH2 antibodies (A, C, and E) or α-ASF1 antibodies (B and D).
