In vitro bactericidal spectra of P307 and P307SQ-8C. Different bacterial species (A. baumannii, B. anthracis, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. aureus, and K. pneumoniae) were treated with 50 μg/ml P307 or P307SQ-8C in 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5) for 2 h at 22 to 25°C to investigate the specificity of the peptides. Serial dilutions were plated for CFU counting. The error bars show the standard deviations, and the black horizontal line marks the limit of detection.
