Notes: In gastric smooth muscle isolated from POI+VEH-treated rats, there was an inhibition of gastric smooth muscle contractility induced by EFS compared to nonsurgery controls. Ipamorelin and ghrelin normalized the contractile response to EFS. Data are mean ± SEM for 10 to 11 experiments in each group. Statistical significance was assessed by one-way analysis of variance with Bonferroni posttest comparisons. *P < 0.05 compared to POI-VEH.
