A: intestinal epithelial cell (IEC)-6 monolayers were subjected to cyclic strain for 24 h after confluence. Cells were lysed in buffer and equal protein aliquots resolved by SDS-PAGE, followed by Western analysis. Strain increased Schlafen 3 protein to 1.92 ± 0.11 (n = 7, *P < 0.05).
