Fig. 3 — A series of SAD electron diffraction patterns obtained from the Al₇₈Mn₂₂ rapidly solidified alloy by tilting a single grain. Based on these patterns, a unique non-crystallographic 10-fold axis and a one-dimensional periodicity of the decagonal phase were established.
