The flow of diagnostic testing and tuberculosis (TB) treatment initiation for patients with presumptive TB at 18 Ugandan health facilities who were smear negative or had no smear microscopy done. In total, 11% (73 of 676) patients at Xpert MTB/RIF (Xpert) facilities were started on TB treatment by 60 days after sputum collection, similar to 9% (89 of 955) at facilities without Xpert (P = .325).
