BEAS-2B cells were left untreated or pretreated with 20 μM SB203580 or 40 μM JNK inhibitor VIII for 1 h before exposure to 30 μM CdCl₂ for 24 h. They were then subjected to (A) western blot analysis to detect the levels of Bax, Caspase-9, and Caspase-3. The same blot was stripped and reprobed with the monoclonal β-actin antibody to monitor the loading difference. (B) The corresponding cell morphology of BEAS-2B cells under light microscope.
