Effect of F. novicida-infected A. castellanii on lung tissue macrophages (MNC, CD11b+ GR-1-) (A) and neutrophils (PMN, CD11b+ GR-1+) (B) cell recruitment into the lungs of Balb/c mice. Balb/c mice were inoculated intratracheally with F. novicida, A. castellanii and/or F. novicida-infecetd A. castellanii. Uninfected mice were used as negative control. At 24 h after infection mice were sacrificed and inflammatory cell recruitment into the lungs was analyzed. Results represent the mean ± standard error of the mean of three animals per treatment group.
