(a–c) Mouse naïve CD4+ T cells were cultured in Th1, Th2 or Th17 differentiating conditions. Vehicle (DMSO) or BB-Cl-amidine were added to the last 20 hours of culture. After 5 days the cells were analysed by flow cytometry to detect cytokines or annexin V and propidium iodide-positive cells. Adding BB-Cl-amidine to cultured T helper cells decreases the amount of (a) IFN-γ, (b) IL-17A and (c) IL-4.
