Cells were pre-infected with PRRSV or mock-infected. (A, B) Cells were incubated for 30 min, 60 min or 90 min to assess phagocytosis. (A) Porcine BMDC internalization of wild-type S. suis. (D) S. suis intracellular cell survival in PRRSV-infected or mock-infected porcine BMDCs. The results show the percentage of viable bacteria, 100% being the number of viable bacteria recovered after 1 h of culture.
