Circadian time of infection affects survival following VSV i.n. administration. Two groups of mice were maintained on opposite light–dark cycles. For one group of mice VSV infection (LD₅₀ dose applied i.n.) was done at the start of the light cycle (ZT0), and for the other group i.n. VSV application was done at the start of dark cycle (ZT12).
