RNA-Sequencing read mapping. Androstenedione (AD), cholesterol (CHOL) and glycerol (GL) correspond to three different conditions: 20 mL minimal medium plus with 1.75 mM (0.05%) androstenedione, 1.29 mM (0.05%) cholesterol and 5.47 mM (0.05%) glycerol respectively. RNA-Seq reads were mapped to the genome and rRNA of M. smegmatis MC2 155 with Bowtie2 (v2.2.3) [31,32].
