Effect of miR-34a mimics on stability of ARHGAP1, E2F5, CDK6, and SIRT1 mRNAs. Single-stranded and double-stranded miR-34a mimics were transfected into HeLa cells at 50 nmol/l. Two days after transfection, cells were treated with actinomycin D (5 μg/ml) for 0–6 hours (ARHGAP1, CDK6) or 0–3 hours (E2F5, SIRT1). Cells were harvested at the indicated time points and each mRNA level was measured by RT-qPCR. Error bars are mean ± SD. n = 3.
