Cr+ MOTIS. A MOT is formed between two parallel plate electrodes, one of which is a mirror with a hole for ion extraction, the other being a transparent window with conductive ITO coating. Two pairs of MOT beams are incident through the window in a “W” configuration; the other pair is perpendicular to the plane of the figure.
