1-Stearoyl-2-arachidonoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-L-serine (SAPS) modulates TRIF- and MAVS-dependent activation of the CXCL8 and IFN-β promoters. BEAS-2B cells were transfected with plasmids encoding ΔTRIF and MAVS. After 6 h, transfected cells were treated with the indicated SAPS concentrations and cell lysates were generated at 24 h. ΔTRIF (a, b) or MAVS (c, d) induced CXCL8 (a, c), and IFN-β (b, d) reporter activation relative to empty vector control pUNO1 was measured. Data shown are mean±s.e.m. (n=2 for a and b, and n=5 for c and d). Reporter data are presented as fold induction vs. control. Significant differences are indicated by *P<0.05.
