C57Bl/6 mice were i.m. immunized with 2 × 107 PFU of MVAwt (black) or MVA∆C12/∆A44L-A46R (white) and at indicated hours post-inoculation (hpi) were sacrificed and samples processed as explained in Materials and Methods. Pro-inflammatory mediators were quantified in homogenates of ILNs (a) and serum (b) by ELISA. Lines represent median values; dots, individual mice and dotted line, naïve median.
