The effects of standardized extract of Ginkgo biloba (EGb761) on the expression of genes related to steroidogenesis pathways in H295R cells. Adherent cells were exposed to various concentration of EGb761 (10 and 100 μg/mL) for 24 hours. Total RNA was isolated from cells using Trizol. Gene specific primers (see Table 1) were used to quantify mRNA levels using real-time polymerase chain reaction. Relative mRNA levels were normalized to β-actin mRNA level. Relative mRNA expression was calculated as the fold change compared to vehicle control. The results are expressed as the mean±standard deviation of three separate experiments for each group. Values are significantly different from each control group: *p<0.05, **p<0.01.
