Compound C inhibited the effects of AICAR in the neonatal rat cardiac fibroblasts infected by coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3). Following incubation with compound C (10 µM) for 1 h, fibroblasts were treated with AICAR and then infected with CVB3 for 48 h. (A) BrdU incorporation and (B) hydroxyproline secretion were assessed.
