Transmission electron microscopy images (TEM) showed the round shape and lipid bilayer structure (arrows) of the liposomes (A,C; size bars: 200 nm). Dynamic light scattering measurements (DLS) confirmed a median size for the liposomes of approximately 160 nm (B,D).
