The dependent variable is an m-by-1 vector (m is the number of samples), in which each value is the expression of an mRNA sample. The explanatory variables is a m-by-n matrix, in which each column is the expression values of a miRNA across all the samples, and n is the number of miRNAs which regulate the mRNA. A n-by-1 vector [w11 w21 ⋯ wn1]T is then returned, and each value in the vector is a regulation coefficient.
