The foundation for this schematic is American Indian Elders. They could choose to participate in the research project by serving on a consensus panel (co-developers), by serving on a community advisory board (advisors), or by participating in an interview (participants). The elders could serve in any combination or number of roles. They participated in research project that had the following components: protocols, status and feedback, lesson plans, and curriculum.
