The study design included 3 steps: (1) Establishing cutoff values for SI and EPSS using the control and DCM group. (2) Testing these cutoff values using the “last normal” group, in order to evaluate if EPSS or SI might be already abnormal whereas the SMOD method is still within the reference range.
