Portal venous phase 5 mm axial MDCT image through the inferior pancreatic head level demonstrates retroperitoneal acute peripancreatic fluid extending throughout the mesenteric root and left anterior pararenal spaces. Pancreatic ascites is also present. No pancreatic glandular necrosis is evident.
