(bd) Cross-sectional SEM images of the metamaterial before annealing, after annealing at 1,000 °C for 3 h, and after annealing at 1,100 °C for 3 h respectively. Although the infrared absorptivity of the metamaterial is greatly altered after the 1,100 °C annealing step, no structural degradation is observed.
