Growth of psd1Δpsd2Δdpl1Δ mutant strain harboring an empty pBEVY-U vector, or the same vector encoding full length, or truncated versions of PfPSD, in the absence, or presence of 2 mM ethanolamine. The three conserved sequence motifs harboring the D-H-S residues required for endoproteolytic processing and activity are highlighted.
