The NO level decreased upon the introduction of superoxide. Hypoxanthine (1 mM in blue and 100 μM in red) was added into 10 ml 100 μM DETA/NO PBS solution pH=7.4 (with 10 mU/ml xanthine oxidase, time points indicated by black arrows).
