BEZ235 induces cell cycle arrest in G1 phase. (A)HCT15 cells were treated with various concentrations of BEZ235 for 24 hr. Cell cycle distribution was determined by staining with propidium iodide and flow cytometry. (B) Western blot experiments to determine the effect of BEZ235 on the levels of cell cycle-specific regulator proteins. HCT15 cells were harvested and lysed for the detection of cleaved caspase-3 and cyclin D1, cyclin A and cyclin B1 by Western blot. β-Actin was used as control for equal loading.
