Error bars are computed by propagating the errors from experimental intensity data. P(q) is actually a normalized FionqFDNAq curve (in Fig. 8), so the error bars here are the same error bars in Fig. 8 after normalization. They were computed by propagating the error bars when (square root) subtracting the two experimental intensities Ioff and Ion for F˜ion, times with F˜DNA.
