(A) qRT-PCR revealed that miR-144 expression in the mouse amnion significantly increased during the initiation of labor. c-fos and COX2 mRNA (B,C) and protein (E) levels increased between 15.5 dpc and 18.5 dpc. (D) PGE2 levels markedly increased in the amniotic fluid of pregnant mice between 15.5 and 18.5 dpc. The data are presented as the mean ± SEM (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01; n = 5 mice per group).
