Mosquitoes aged between 3 to 5 days were given infected blood through artificial parafilm membrane and midgut were dissected at day 7 post-infection for oocyst detection under light microscopy. Feeding rate was calculated by dividing the number of mosquitoes alive in cups after blood feeding by the number successfully fed. Prevalence of infection was calculated by dividing the number of mosquitoes infected at oocyst stage by the total number of mosquito dissected
