Sulforaphane (SFN; 1-isothiocyanato-4-(methylsulfinyl)-butane, also called glucoraphanin isothiocyanate or GRA-ITC) and moringin (4-(α-L-rhamnopyranosyloxy)-benzyl isothiocyanate, also referred to as glucomoringin isothiocyanate or GMG-ITC) are produced by myrosinase-catalyzed hydrolysis of their glucosinolate precursors, glucoraphanin (GRA) and glucomoringin (GMG) respectively [59].
