associates with chromatin remodeling complexes. OGT associates with both transcriptional coactivator and corepressor complexes. OGT association with TET2/3 is necessary for the chromatin binding event of SETD1A methyl transferase. This facilitates the transcription of hematopoietic genes possibly in a HCF-1 dependent manner.
