There were no significant differences between the ASC and control groups in age, full‐scale IQ, or verbal IQ (P > 0.05).
The two groups significantly differed in performance IQ (P = 0.01).
Information was available for all 67 individuals with ASC. The following cut‐off scores were used: ADI‐R Social, >10; Communication, >8; and RSB, >3.
Information was available for 66 individuals with ASC, using a cut‐off score of 7.
