IEC-6 cells were treated with HS alone or HS after pretreatment with various concentrations of Mag (5, 10, and 20 μmol/L). At 10 and 20 μmol/L, Mag markedly increased cell counts as compared with those in the group receiving only HS(^* P<0.05). Results (mean±SEM) shown are representative of three independent experiments
