Antimalarial activity of compound 5f in the chloroquine- and pyrimethamine-resistant P. falciparum K1 strain. The growth of a chloroquine- and pyrimethamine-resistant P. falciparum K1 strain was evaluated in the presence of different concentrations of compound 5f (1 to 50 μM). Artesunate (100 nM) and chloroquine (100 nM) were used as a positive and negative controls, respectively. The experiment was performed in triplicate.
