Pro-angiogenic versus anti-angiogenic miRNAs. Some miRNAs upregulate angiogenesis by promoting angiogenic factors (i.e., VEGF) or by inhibiting anti-antiogenic mediators (i.e., TSP1), while others downregulate angiogenesis by inhibiting anigiogenic molecular pathways.
