A coherent pulse phase locks a PING circuit and blocks a less coherent signal. The less coherent input is greater not only in temporal average, but also in amplitude. Nonetheless, the target network (an E–I pair) mostly follows the more coherent input, with some perturbations being caused by the less coherent one.
