The initial hydrolysis rates, V₀, were determined in triplicate from time-courses obtained at each substrate concentration for β-glucan (A–C) or CMC 4M (D–F). For purposes of comparison, the curve corresponding to the wt enzyme was included in all graphs. The results are representative of at least five independent experiments.
