Phg2 and talin mutant cells are defective in cytokinesis. (A) Wild-type and mutant cells were grown on coverslips, fixed, treated with RNAse A, and their nuclei stained with propidium iodide. Wild-type and phg2 cells were photographed under a fluorescence microscope. Bar, 20 μm. (B) The percentage of cells containing at least three nuclei was counted (mean and SEM of at least four independent experiments). Multinucleated cells are unusually frequent in phg2 and talin null cells.
